One of my favorite songs goes like this:
"standing on the promises of Christ my king,
through eternal ages let the praises sing
glory to the highest
we will shout and sing-
standing on the promises of God!"
which got me to thinking. And before I knew it, I had a list of promises that are most relevant to my life lately.
"Know therefore that the Lord your God IS God; He is faithful. He will keep His covenant of love to those who love Him."
"‘Listen to me- do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart, or panic, or tremble before them."
"It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."
"Though my mother and father forsake me, the Lord will receive me."
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
who seek the Lord lack no good thing."
are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you."
"I have made you, and I will carry you. I will sustain you, and I will rescue you."
"I have given you the authority to trample snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy."
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"We do not lose heart, for though our outer self is wasting away our inner self is being renewed daily. This momentary affliction is preparing us for the eternal glory, which is beyond comparison."
2 Timothy 4:17
"But the LORD stood with me and gave me strength."
Which of God’s promises in the Bible means the most to you right now?

The Windy City IS mighty pretty.
And I fell in love with it.
I just returned from Chi Town. The last six weeks have been rather busy; quite a schedule of go-go-go. So I started out a mission trip exhausted (backwards right?). But that's okay- because I fell in love with a place and a community that God won't let me forget anytime soon.
I just can't wait to share with yall everything the Lord is doing. Be praying for me, please.
I'll bombard you with pictures and stories soon!
off to dreamland. in Christ, beth
