Psalm 84:10-11

Psalm 84:10-11.

I came upon this verse the other day. It hit me like a ton of bricks.

What an awesome promise.

Friends, God shines on us. He showers us with grace. He is our shield. He bestows favor and honor. He withholds nothing good from those who walk uprightly. He blesses the children who put their hope and trust in Him.

Let these truths take root in your soul today. Let His promises wash over you and make you new. Whatever you're going through, He knows. He sees. He hears. And he wants to help.

RUN to Him, friends. Our God is full of wisdom and He knows what is best for you right now.

Wherever you find yourself today, if you are walking close to Jesus, than God is withholding no good from you.

Alive.

I am so in love with this song, from "The Story".  We're singing it in choir for Easter, and it gives me chill bumps every time.

Quotation Marks.

By now y'all know I have this thing for quotes. Half my posts are quotes. (I realize now that I should've done a tumblr instead of a blogspot, but oh well!) Here are some of my favorite quotes and verses as of late.

"Ladies, the true meaning of beauty and perfection is found in Scriptures. Not in magazines, or any tumblr pictures. So don't even listen to the devil's lies. 'Cause honestly, a real guy should love you not because of your weight or stature, but because of your love for the Lord our God- a love that is real and pure." ~Mark Muldez

"Gratefulness. Gratefulness is a double edged sword. Because I think we’ve poured it into a feeling. And the batter of gratitude gets kind of stuck to the edges of the Williams Sanoma melamine mixing bowl. But gratefulness. The act of being grateful is actually… a verb. It’s an activity. Grateful only blossoms with activity through being. What does it mean to be utterly and totally grateful? Some might associate it with weakness. To be grateful you lay yourself down before others for them to trample. Or grateful is a crack in the door to “being taken advantage of”. “They’re grateful. They’ll do it”. I don’t know. I think it’s just serving one another. When you are grateful, you feel called to serve… others. No? Isn’t that a powerful move. To feel so grateful that you care not what others think or how you are perceived, you only think about the action of filling another’s void?" ~Abigail Spencer
"Now, devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God." ~1 Chronicles 22:19
"Faith is the art of holding onto things in spite of your changing moods or circumstances." ~C.S. Lewis
"Love isn't perfect. It isn't a fairytale or a scrapbook and it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, and impossible to live without. Love is work, but most of all, love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second was worth it because you did it together."
"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other." ~Audrey Hepburn
"Our light and momentary troubles are acheiving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." ~2 Corinthians 4:17
"Refuse to be content with just the knowledge of God, but insist on experiencing His presence."

Somewhere After Midnight

"Somewhere after midnight, in my wildest fantasy, somewhere just beyond my reach there's someone reaching back at me..."

Late night musings of a girl pondering her heart. Musing and meandering through my apartment...

I spent my evening praising my Savior. Listening to my pastor preach about marriage to a room full of college students. Took notes on how to improve myself as a a young woman before I can ever be a good wife. Chatted with other students and hugged dear friends.

Somtimes my heart aches at the way life has turned out. Aches in a good way, and aches in a bad way.

Yet still I muse and I ponder and I roam and I wander.

(I wasn't trying to rhyme, I swear.)

"Even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart... Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love." ~Joel 2:12-13
