Standing On The Promises

One of my favorite songs goes like this:

"standing on the promises of Christ my king,
through eternal ages let the praises sing
glory to the highest
we will shout and sing-
standing on the promises of God!"
which got me to thinking. And before I knew it, I had a list of promises that are most relevant to my life lately.

Deuteronomy 7:9
"Know therefore that the Lord your God IS God; He is faithful. He will keep His covenant of love to those who love Him."

Deuteronomy 20:3
"‘Listen to me- do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart, or panic, or tremble before them."

Deuteronomy 31:8
"It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."

Psalm 27:10
"Though my mother and father forsake me, the Lord will receive me."
 
Psalm 27:13
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

 Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Psalm 34:10b
"Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing."

Isaiah 43:4
"You are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you."  

Isaiah 46:4
"I have made you, and I will carry you. I will sustain you, and I will rescue you."

Luke 10:19
"I have given you the authority to trample snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy."

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
