About

Hello friends! My name is Bethany. Here’s a glimpse into my heart…

Vintage anything makes my heart skip a beat. I firmly believe that I was born in the wrong era. Even my movie & music choices evidence that statement... I keep various Broadway and musical soundtracks in my car. 1950's musicals are my favorite, but if it's made recently, I prefer action over romance. So now you’ll excuse me when I randomly break into song and dance, or quote movies you've never heard of.

Finding connection with someone else's words is wonderful. It's what made me a book lover. I typically read about three at a time- my bible study book, a fiction book, and a non fiction book. That being said, you'll understand that browsing bookstores and libraries is my personal therapy. My wallet disagrees. I prefer to collect friends, moments, and memories to material things, but books are my downfall. AND I REFUSE TO GET A KINDLE/NOOK- utter nonsense.

My favorite sounds are laughter, my daddy’s singing voice, and music. Music is SUCH a big way the Lord speaks to me.  I love the first sip of coffee in the morning, or in the afternoon, or at 9 PM- whenever really. Hi, my name is Bethany and I'm a caffeine-aholic.

I really dislike cooking. It's not that I can't do it; I can, and I do, I just really don't like to. There's a backstory as to why I don't like it. Ironically enough, I do love baking, which works out well since I used to work at a bakery.

My favorite friend is four legged with soft black fur. Her name is Chloe, aka babygirl, babybelle, boo, and chlo-chlo. She is not spoiled. At all. I hate living apart from her.

The native Texan in me prefers shorts and hot summers to sweats and cold winters.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for children. Any kid that is smaller than me is at serious risk of being scooped up and carried around. ((I apologize for advance for the onslaught of kids you'll see on my social media)) Hence, I love being a preschool teacher. It was such a Jesus opportunity. It leaves my heart full and fulfilled.

I teach 6th grade girls life group at my home church. They chase squirrels in conversation like nobody you've ever met, but have some of the most insightful things to say. Thankfully, they are still willing to hug me and be seen with me in public.

I'm a sinner saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I am so in love with my sweet Savior. Anything good you see in me is all Jesus Christ.

"The Lord your God is with you. He is the hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you. He renews you with His love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy." ~Zephaniah 3:17
